I recently had a sewer scope done on my new home, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! We had some complicated pipes, but the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was inspected thoroughly. They explained everything clearly, provided helpful suggestions, and gave me the peace of mind I needed during the home-buying process. On top of that, they were super friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a home!

I was told that I had a complicated sewer repair/replacement at my home. After contacting several contractors with either no call backs or outrageous prices I contacted Sewer Kings. the gentleman Mark came out to my home the same day and explained the issue he found and the best way to correct the problem/old root bound system. He gave me a very good quote much lower than I got from others. He and his crew showed up the next day, early I might add which is unheard if these days and replaced the whole system connected, removing any issues, very respectful of my landscaping, neat, and very professional. I didn’t have to do any cleaning after they left. Mark and his crew did an outstanding job and we couldn’t be happier with the work they did. Glad to write a positive review for Sewer Kings

Whether you’re dealing with weak water pressure, unexplained puddles in the yard, sky-high water bills, or discolored tap water, the issue is often underground. And the longer you wait, the worse and more expensive it gets.

Old or broken water lines can lead to serious property damage, contaminated water, and unexpected shutdowns. And when they finally call for help, they end up with delays, hidden fees, or a crew that’s not equipped to do the job right.

FAQs

Water Line Replacement FAQs

Installing a water line typically costs between $668 and $815 per piping run for basic installations, depending on site conditions and options. For main water line installations, costs vary widely, averaging $50 to $150 per linear foot, with total prices ranging from $646 to $2,827 or more depending on length, materials, and trenching method.
Water lines should generally be replaced every 50 to 100 years, depending on material and soil conditions. However, older pipes like galvanized steel or iron may require replacement sooner due to corrosion or leaks.
Replacement is recommended if you experience frequent leaks, water discoloration, low water pressure, or visible corrosion on your main water line. A professional plumber can perform an inspection to determine if repair or replacement is necessary.
Minor leaks or cracks can sometimes be repaired with pipe clamps, epoxy putty, or by replacing small sections of damaged pipe. However, for extensive damage or corrosion, replacement is usually the safer and more permanent solution.
Signs include frequent leaks, rusty or discolored water, reduced water pressure, water damage near pipes, and loud banging noises. A plumbing inspection can confirm pipe condition and help decide replacement need.
Depending on the material, water lines can last from 20-50 years for galvanized steel, up to 50-70 years for copper, and 100 years or more for PEX or PVC pipes.
Replacing a main water line valve may cost between $200 and $500, including labor and parts. The price varies based on valve type, location, and accessibility.
“Water line” typically refers to the physical pipe that carries water, while “waterline” can also mean the water level mark on a boat or structure. In plumbing contexts, the terms are often used interchangeably.
Fixing a damaged water line involves shutting off water supply, excavating around the damaged area if underground, cutting out the damaged section, and replacing it with new pipe, followed by pressure testing to ensure no leaks.
Indicators include unexplained spikes in water bills, wet or soggy patches in your yard, unusually low water pressure, and the sound of running water when all taps are off. A professional leak detection service can confirm and locate the leak precisely.
