I recently had a sewer scope done on my new home, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! We had some complicated pipes, but the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was inspected thoroughly. They explained everything clearly, provided helpful suggestions, and gave me the peace of mind I needed during the home-buying process. On top of that, they were super friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a home!

I was told that I had a complicated sewer repair/replacement at my home. After contacting several contractors with either no call backs or outrageous prices I contacted Sewer Kings. the gentleman Mark came out to my home the same day and explained the issue he found and the best way to correct the problem/old root bound system. He gave me a very good quote much lower than I got from others. He and his crew showed up the next day, early I might add which is unheard if these days and replaced the whole system connected, removing any issues, very respectful of my landscaping, neat, and very professional. I didn’t have to do any cleaning after they left. Mark and his crew did an outstanding job and we couldn’t be happier with the work they did. Glad to write a positive review for Sewer Kings

FAQs

Sewer Line
Maintenance FAQs

Maintain your sewer line by scheduling professional cleanings every 18 to 24 months, avoiding flushing grease and non-biodegradable items, and limiting tree planting near pipes to prevent root intrusion. Periodic camera inspections can also help detect issues early before they become serious.

Sewer lines should typically be cleaned every 18 to 24 months to prevent buildup and clogs. However, homes with older pipes, frequent clogs, or nearby trees may need more frequent cleaning or inspections.

Sewer lines made from materials like PVC or cast iron can last between 50 to 100 years, depending on installation quality, soil conditions, and how well they are maintained. Regular cleanings and damage prevention can help extend their lifespan.

You can protect your sewer line by not flushing harmful substances, avoiding tree planting near pipes to prevent root damage, and scheduling routine inspections and cleanings. Promptly repairing any leaks or cracks will also help prevent further deterioration.

Pumping generally applies to septic tanks, which should be pumped every 3 to 5 years depending on usage and size. Sewer lines, on the other hand, don’t require pumping but should be cleaned regularly as needed.

Cleaning a sewer line can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours, depending on the severity of the blockage and the method used. Minor clogs are cleared quickly, while extensive buildup or root intrusion takes longer.

Maintaining a sewerage system involves regular cleanings to prevent blockages, inspections to catch cracks or root growth, avoiding flushing harmful materials, and repairing damaged pipes quickly to prevent costly problems.

Prevent clogs by not flushing grease, wipes, or non-degradable items, avoiding tree planting near the sewer line, using drain strainers, and scheduling regular cleanings. Watch for slow drains or odors as signs of potential issues.

Repairing a sewer line may involve spot repairs for small cracks, pipe lining to reinforce without digging, or full replacement for severe damage. Plumbers usually perform a camera inspection first to determine the best solution.
